CVI Real Time PC Startup DLL Delay

Hello,

I have been experiencing issues of long delays when booting my real-time PC directly into my application.  The same code, on the same system will take between 30 seconds to boot one day and 3 minutes to boot on a different day.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Does anyone know the steps that the real-time OS takes when booting?  Any guess as to the cause?  Any insight is appreciated...

Hi NDo,

Sometimes the boot time can change depending on any unnecessary drivers you may have installed on the PC.  You can check what software is installed by looking at KnowledgeBase 2HEEPEZ8:  Installing Software on Real-Time (RT) Series PXI Hardware.

Sorry for taking so long to respond.

The strange thing is, we are running two identical real-time PCs and one boots up immediately while the other takes upto 3 minutes.  I did find a thread discussing some thing similar happending on Windows applications:

I don't know if this is the cause, but I will try it out.
