CVI Version 6.0 with newer instruments

So I have Labwindows / CVI 6.0 installed on the PC that will be doing the automation.  I am not really in a position to upgrade.  The instruments I need to control are the following, with the following driver sets available.

34980A MUX / DMM with 34921A module.. Drivers available are only from Keysight and there are no pre-reqs defined that I can see.

N6734B and N6756A with drivers available from you guys which say labwindows 8.x is a pre-req.

Without upgrading labwindows is my only choice to use SCPI over GPIB?

Thanks for your assistance.

Zaius55,

A lot of our drivers will require newer versions of CVI, yes. If you're looking to use pre-built drivers then you'll be limited to whatever you can find that is combatible with CVI 6, otherwise you could just use the driver functions to communicate with the device directly over your chosen protocol.

Maybe I am making this too complicated. Keysight offers IVI-C drivers for all of the istruments I listed on that page. Is that all I need, regardless of what version of labwindows I am using?

Zaius,

Those are likely to work, though NI certainly can't guarantee the functionality of any 3rd-party driver they haven't certified.
