hi all:
     I installed CVI 8.1.0,and device driver 8.2.And I find that I have installed NI-DAQmx 8.3,
but I can't use DAQmx library in CVI 8.1.0.

Hi,

The DAQmx driver currently doesn't install support for multiple versions of LabWindows/CVI. So, when you installed DAQmx 8.3 onto your computer that already had CVI 7.1 with DAQ support, the new driver only updated that DAQ files located in the CVI 7.1 folder. It didn't copy files over to the CVI 8.1 folder because the DAQ installer detected an earlier version of DAQ already and just updated the locations that it was currently installed to.  To get around this, you simply need to copy the appropriate DAQ files from the CVI 7.1 directory to CVI 8.1. For instructions, check out the Installing DAQ Support for Multiple Versions of LabWindows/CVI KnowledgeBase.

Hope this helps!

Hi, Jonathan N:

     Thanks, I got it.

It seems that nidaqmx and Traditional NI-DAQ can be Added to the main LabWindows/CVI libraries, easy IO  only can be added to project,  🙂

    What do you about it?

Hi,

That KnowledgeBase that I sent you describes what files for easyio you need to copy over as well. Once you have copied those easyio files over to your other CVI directories, open LabWindows/CVI and then right-click on the Libraries Tree and select Customize Library Menu. In the next dialog, select Browse, choose All Files (*.*) for the Files of type option and then navigate to the <CVI>\bin directory of whatever CVI directory you copied those easyio files over to. Then select easyio.lfp, click OK, then restart LabWindows/CVI. Now you should see the Easy I/O for DAQ library in the Libraries Tree.

Hope this helps!
