CVIRTE Overwrite

I have CVI version 8.0.1 and have downloaded and installed the 2010 SP1 CVIRTE on my build machine.

When creating a distribution kit, is the older original version 8 CVIRTE included or is it the latest 2010 version?

If the 2010 CVIRTE is installed on a machine and the distribution kit has an older CVIRTE, is the older version installed or is the 2010 version left intact?

When you create a distribution, it should include the highest RTE version that's installed in your machine. In your case, your 8.0-built distribution should include the 2010 RTE.
