Calling Excel Cut/Copy/Paste from CVI

Greetings,
I have been playing with the Active X interface for Excel for several years now, and just updated my CVI to 8.0.1 and cannot believe that the help functions for the Excel 9.0 library has not been fixed yet.

I am trying to automate some Excel activities through CVI and am having difficulty figuring out how to use Cut/Copy/and paste.  So far I can successfully create new worksheets, figure out the range I need to copy, using sort and find.  But I cannot figure out how to copy my selection to my new worksheet.

Any advice?

Thanks,
-don

Hi Don,

CVI gets the information for the Excel ActiveX functions from the Microsoft type library.  If Microsoft didn't fill out help information for all the functions, then, unfortunately, CVI will not have this information to display.  The best place to go to get information about the Excel ActiveX functions is Microsoft's website.  See the link below for Microsoft's help.

I would take a look at the RangeCopy and RangePasteSpecial functions for copy ranges over to other worksheets.
