Can the NI real-time execution trace toolkit be used with LabWindows/CVI version 7?

Hello everyone,

I am currently using LabWindows/CVI version 7 and I'd like to use the eal-time execution trace toolkit. I read in one of the documents ("Debugging multicore ANSI C applications with LabWindows CVI") that the toolkit is available for LabWindows/CVI versions 8.5 or above.

Will the current version of the toolkit work with LabWindows/CVI ver. 7 or is there an earlier generation/avatar of this toolkit that would be compatible with version 7?

If no, do I have any other options besides upgrading my LabWindows/CVI to the latest version?

A general question about the trace evaluation toolkit, will it work on the the release version of my code or is it limited to the debug mode?

Unfortunately, that is your only option since the previous versions have the same requirements as the current version.  Post back if you have more questions!

Also you should be alright using a release version of code.
