Create Distribution Kit... File Size - CVI 7.1

Using LabWindows CVI 6.0, the distribution kit for an one of our applications totaled about 4 Megabytes. Using LabWindows CVI 7.1 the distribution kit for the same application totaled about 15 Megabytes!! The full CVI run-time engine was included in both cases.

Is this expected behavior with CVI 7.1? If not, any initial thoughts on what is going on?

Shortly after I posted that last message I found the problem.

The setting "Install DataSocket Support" was set to "Always."

It seems that if you open a CVI 6.0 project in CVI 7.1 that this setting defaults to "Always." Unfortunatley I unistalled 6.0 so I can't go back and look at the setting in that version. The install is now back to a reasonable size.

Seems in CVI 6.0, the setting is "If Needed" by default. I tried opening the CVI 6.0 project in 7.1 and it was set to "If Needed" as well.

It might have been a setting specific to your project. If you do run into issues like this again, feel free to post here.
