Create .NET Controller doesn't work

Hi.

When I try to create a .NET Controller I get the following:

What's wrong and how can I fix this ?

My CVI:  I use 8.5.1, but have also installed 8.0, 8.1 in parallel.

Hi Tomsaw,

I have not found much useful information on this COM/OLE error. What kind of .net assembly are you trying to integrate? Does this assembly work in another context (e.g. calling it from a .net language or from LabVIEW)?

Thanks

Peter

I tried many different assemblies and no one worked - so I think it's a problem from CVI not from the assembly.

Hi Tomsaw,

there seems to be an issue with your .net or CVI configuration. When exactly does the error occur? Does CVI analyze the assembly and display the Identifiers? Does it crash right after selecting the assembly?

You could try and repair your CVI installation (Control Panel -> Add/Remove Software). In addition you should make sure your .net environment works correctly and maybe update it to a more recent version.

Regards
