Evaluation Version Expired: and now?

Hi,
I'm a student, using Measurement Studio 6.0 (Evaluation Version) for an
examination. The problem is that my evaluation period has expired today, and
I need to use the program for a longer time...
I agree with the protection policy of NI, but I can't buy a complete version
of this marvellous software as my exam will become quite expensive...
Is there a way to go on using this evaluation version (that is however
limited to 10 minutes of running...)?

I hope someone can help me...
Bye, Andrew.

Have you tried putting the pc's clock back? It works with the labview eval!

Yes Steve, this solution works, but in this way I have to remember every
time on shutdown that I have to change the clock again...
If I forget I will have problems with other programs...

If I will not find other ideas I'll use your one...

Thanks a lot. Bye.
Andrea.

P.S: Excuse me for my bad english...

Hi,

Backup your data files. Uninstall the Evaluation Version. Then reinstall it again. Its good for another 30 days.

Hi,

I tried this way, but the answer didn't change: "your evaluation period has
expired...". Probably there is a register key that is not deleted after
uninstalling CVI, but I can't find it...

Any other suggestion?

Thanks for your help.
Bye, Andrea.

Hi,

That's surpising, I have never had problems with re-installing evaluation copies before.

check in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER under Software|National Instruments.

If you have uninstalled your evaluation copy then you shouldn't find it in your registry. Do a search for any thing CVI and delete it if its related the CVI. It probably best to copy the registry file before you start.

Set the clock back before you re install - as suggested!

As an NI employee, I am not going to comment on this one much, other than to say there are some creative suggestions below.

The suggestions were indeed creative, and would probably work. I had a different problem, that led me to find this thread in the Forum: I installed the Eval version a while back, when I wanted to work on a VI at home one weekend. Well, it has expired, and I no longer need it, but there is no uninstall tool in the NI directories, and LabView doesn't appear under Settings>>Control Panel>>Add/Remove Programs! I could simply delete the folder, but I want to completely remove it, including shortcuts and registry keys. Any suggestions?
