Before I spend an hour or two searching to find the answer, I'll ask this august user community:
 
Is it possible to install a Flash animation in a CVI app and play it?  If so, how?  Is there any example code out there?

I answered my own question:
 
The article, "Using the Macromedia Shockwave Flash Player ActiveX Control in LabWindows/CVI"
 
and the download,  cviflashplayer.zip
 
This was written for CVI 6.0, and works perfectly under 8.5.  No indication of who wrote it, but THANKS!!!
