Yeah, sorry Ken.  It took me more than a year before I could convince NI this was a big enough problem that they should pay attention.  That's when I posted 2 years ago.  I completely forgot about this thread since then.

Yes, it is fixed in 9.0.1.

Thanks to NI.  It took a long time, but now we have it.

I have 9.0.1 installed just recently. I was having problems with my laptop, so I had to install CVI again. I'll have to go and take a look at this.

Note that this was fixed in 2009, not in 9.0.1. If you're using 9.0.1, you still have this problem.

Thanks Luis.  I am running CVI 2009, but the version is 9.1.0.  I said 9.0.1 in a prior post, but I don't remember if that was CVI 2009 or not.

But 9.1.0 certainly works.
