Hi Michael,

Installing CVI 8.1.1 undoubtedtly upgraded the version of your datasocket DLL in:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dataskt.dll

As to what was fixed, I did a quick search and could not find any bug fixes specifically related to this problem (more of a question of what keywords to search for). If you must know you could try looking through the CVI release notes since 6.0.
