How do I change the cvibuild.[Project name] directory to a temp directory somewhere else.

Hi abui,

Unfortunately you cannot change that directory. It is preset to that in order for CVI to reference the files it creates in that directory when it links and creates the executable. Is there a reason why you would need to move the directory to someplace else? If you just want to get the contents of that directory you can write a batch file that copies the files to the directory you prefer.

Hello old thread.

Is this still the case that the cvibuild directory cannot be moved someplace else?  Am I also correct that the cvibuild sub-directory is always relative to the .prj file (i.e. not the .cws file or something else)?  I'm using CVI 2010 SP1.  Thanks.

I can confirm that this is still the case in CVI 2010 SP1. If you would like to see this feature in the future, I would suggest posting a CVI Idea Exchange Idea for it.
