How to install NI-DAQ on a previous version of CVI with a new one already present in the system?

Hi all,
in my system I have installed both CVI 7 and 8. I hadn't installed any version of NI-DAQ on CVI7 before installing version 8. Now I need to add ni-daq support for version 7 of the IDE to realize a little modification to my customer's application, but ni-daq installer does not permit me to specify which version of cvi is to be added daq support: it points me to version 8 instead.
How can I accomplish this?

Thanks all for the replies.

Roberto,

Check out this thread.

By the way, in addition to the files listed by Bilal, you should also copy toolslib\custctrl\daqmxio*.*

Thanks Luis for pointing me to that discussion: I guess I missed it in my searches since I was interested to traditional daq rather than daqmx.

However, I begun receiving errors from a NI-PAL service and resolved to uninstall CVI 8 (an LV 8 too) from the system according to some messages I read on the forums with reference to this error. At this moment I was free to install traditional daq on cvi7 before installing the new software. My system is now correctly working without errors.

In any way I appreciate the continuous and helpful support we can found from you in these pages. Smiley Happy

Thanks Roberto, that's nice of you to say that.

But you know... with over 1000 posts you've had in this forum, it's actually me (and NI) that is really very grateful for all the help you, and other users, provide!
