I try to run tutorial ,but why not search "SinePattern" on Library ?

excuse me!

I'm rookie at CVI

I install CVI 8.5 evalution version that from NI's official website.

and I try to follow tutorial example , refer to "Geting Started with LabWindows/CVI.pdf"

I follow procedure & coding program step by step

but find a question !

on 3 chapter 3-2 page, I try to search "SinePattern" at Library Tree

No any match, whether or not I select "Show Function Names"

Does this library need external module?

Please give me any ideal or suggestion

thanks!

That function panel should be in the following Library Tree location:

     Libraries>>Advanced Analysis Library>>Signal Generation>>SinePattern

Which of these nodes are you missing?

Because you install evaluation version. Plz buy LabWindows/CVI Full version and you will see library.

Hi stockton,

Do you have the link that you used to download the CVI 8.5 evaluation copy? My guess is that you somehow got a link to the base copy instead of the full copy but I wanted to check what link you used to download the evaluation copy and how you found that link. Also, do you have just an Analysis Library category under the Library tree (Libraries >> Analysis Library)? This would indicate that you have a base copy.

Thanks

Best Regards,

Hello Mr. Ho,

The situation you're in is definitely unexpected. It looks as if CVI isn't loading any version of the analysis library. I'd like to investigate this some more to find out why this happened.

Would you mind navigating to your C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\CVI85\bin folder, zipping up the contents of that folder, including the sub-directories, and attaching the zip file here? That might help us understand what is happening.

(if you're using Vista instead of XP, then navigate to C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\CVI85\bin instead)

Thanks,

Luis
