In LabWindows, how do I get DDE client to request data from the DDE server? Should result in DDE server callback gettin DDE_REQUESTDATA.

Check out the DDE sample that ships with cvi in the c:\MeasurementStudio\cvi\samples\dde directory.

The following line of code is taken from that example. The client requests action from the server with the ClinetDDEExecute function - the commandName argument can specify any functionality you want, including requesting data. You manually program the response to certain command prompts. The example is great - start from there.

ClientDDEExecute (convID, commandName, DDE_TIMEOUT); /* sends command message to server */
