Is it a mandatory requirement that PXI driver installer kits are named "SETUP.EXE"?

I am creating a new installer for my PXI module driver using InstallShield.  By default the build creates the installer with the filename "SETUP.EXE".

Is it a requirement of the PXI or VISA specification that the installer is called "SETUP.EXE", or can I rename it to something better related to my product - e.g. "PXIModule_v1_0_0.exe"?

I have to be honest and say I'm not too sure. Have you tried using a different name and seen any consequences?

My gut feeling is that is could cause you issues elsewhere. I'll have a search around and let you know if I find anything interesting 😉
