Is it possible to use the labwindows compiler/builder without going through the GUI?

I'd like to combine labwindows with a version control system, and I'd like to write some of my code outside of the labwindows editor. To that effect, is there anyway I can access the compiler / build a project/etc. without having to open up the GUI?

Hi Jason,

LabWindows/CVI 7.1 and later have a command-line compiler.  With the command line interface, you can build a LabWindows/CVI project or compile a source file from the command line. It also doesn't launch the LabWindows/CVI environment which is what I believe you are looking for.  See the "Using the LabWindows/CVI Command Line Interface" help topic in the LabWindows/CVI Help.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,
