KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED after loading MS 6.0

This is an update to an original posting under VXI...

Fresh load of NT 4 on a Dell GX110. Service Pack 6a. No IE, or other non-base apps. 20G drive with 2G/18G parts. Loaded NIC & video drivers for Dell devices. Loaded Measurement Studio 6.0 (complained when nids.dll didn't register - Data Socket w/o IE?), then 1394/G driver ver 2.1.

When resman sends out the BNOs (it flashes so fast), I get the KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED blue screen. It always reports that it's in nivxi1394k at offset 116C.

UPDATE>>>>
I can install the 1394 driver prior to MS 6.0 & all is OK. After MS 6.0 is loaded the same BSODs return with the same offset in nivxi1394k.SYS.

When can I expect 6.0.1??

I've also been fighting a BSOD problem
with 5.5.1 when an application exits. These are IRQLs from ntoskrnl.

Concerning your fatal exception, have you seen the response to your earlier post on the VXI forum? Have you tried the update and are still blue-screening? If Julianna's sugestions do not resolve your BSOD issues (and the drivers are loading correctly) this would be a good question to submit to the email support engineers via http://www.ni.com/ask along with as much information about your application and where the error is occuring as possible.
