I am on lessons 5 and 6 for the LabWindows Core 1 Course and I am not understanding how I am able to fully simulate each exercise. I believe each of the exercises are able to be simulated completely and everything can be completed without hardware. I setup a simulation in NI MAX for a PCI-6225 device, but I do not see how I am able to simulate interfacing with the BNC and reading values from a simulated DAQ to a simulated BNC2120. Has anyone successfully simulated these exercises and would like to explain how this was done?
For example on Lesson 5: Exercise 2:
Write a program that measures voltage using the temperature sensor on the BNC-2120. The temperature sensor generates a voltage that is directly proportional to the ambient temperature.
Implementation
1. Set the switch above AI 0 to Temp. Ref. to connect the temperature sensor to channel 0 of the DAQ device.
Is this something that is able to be simulated?
