I am a bachelor engineering student and I have recently been introduced to labview and I have couple of gripes
I see visual programming as inferior to textual programming. It may be easier to process for non-programmers but I find it childish
Whole Labview looks like crap on Macs and does not even work on Linux.
The ui created tents to be quite skeuomorphic in design and functionality.
I cannot find any other language that I can use with National Instruments DAQ
I cannot really see myself using it in any way. Am I missing something important about the topic?

Well, you're asking in the LabWindows/CVI forum, rather than the LabVIEW one, so it seems strange you can't find another language to use NI hardware.

I agree with you. I find LabWiew childish.

No, you are just copy&pasting a five year old reddit post verbatim... Nothing new. (Full of platitudes, poorly formed opinions, big words, and incorrect statements.)
(If you actually wrote that original post five years ago and still are a bachelor, maybe engineering is not the right field for you. ;))

One hit wonder! Receycled 5 or more year old standard text! And even posted in the wrong subforum!
A very obvious case of flamebait provoker.

I am a guy in control, using a few C, C++,c# or even HPVee long time ago. I believe Labview is suck, a real suck for programming.
