My UIR taken from an earlier lab windows gets corupted in version 8.0

I have an old uir made in LabWindows 5.5. I currently have version 8.0.1. While making mods to the file in 8.0.1 the file keeps getting damaged and is very frustrating.   When I open the file it randomly says that is damaged. When it does open and I change something in the file and save it, LabWindows says that it is either corupt or "file access permission denied".  This is a large uir in my opinion and i really dont want to start over. Are there any quick fixes with uir's beeing tranfered to different versions of labwindows? The UIR works flawlessly in version 5.5, but that is not an option for me to edit it.

If you still have the 5.5 IDE you could try saving the .uir file in text format and then see if CVI 8 is happy to load that version of the file. (uir editor menu Options->Save in Text Format).

I have been trying to fix this for weeks with no avail. That fix actually seems to work. It hasnt crashed, yet. You da man!
