NI 9870, CompactDAQ & CVI

As anyone used the NI 9870 4-port RS232 Module with CompactDAQ and LabWindows?  Or do our NI support folks out there know anything about this?

Hi,

The NI 9870 can only be used with a cRIO chassis because that module needs access to the cRIO FPGA. Since our CompactDAQ chassis do not have an FPGA on board, those chassis will not work with the NI 9870.
