NI PXIe-6555 not recognized by CVI 17.0

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello everyone

I am currently trying to probe so signals on my testbench with a NI PXIe-6555 and in order to do so, I was thinking of using the NI-DCPower Pulse Voltage Sequence found in the CVI examples.

When trying to use it on other modules it works just fine but on the PXIe-6555 it doesn't. It gives me the error message linked.

Does any of you had the same issue or knows where the problem is?

Thanks

Hi baudouinchauviere,

Which version of NI-HSDIO do you have installed on this computer?

Also, are you able to communicate with this device in NI MAX or use test panels?

Hi 2Shanez,

I forgot to remove this topic, I found the solution. I could talk with NI MAX and use the test panels but my issue was that I couldn't use a NiDCPower function while using a 6555 module. It was to be expected since 6555 uses HSDIO as a basis and not  DCPower which is for an other family of components.

I leave this here so that other people who could have made the same mistake can see it. (took me a while to find it so I guess I won't be the only one in this case)
