NIDAQ not reading as loaded in Lab windows CVI

I have installed Lab Windows/CVI V 7.0 and NIDAQ V7.4.1 on my machine. I installed Lab Windows first and when installing NIDAQ I installed the CVI support tools from the disk. However when in Lab windows I attempt to “Create/Edit DAQmx Tasks, as suggested in the user manual for the DAQPad-6507, I am told the software is not installed. I am trying to connect to the DAQPad-6507 for a project.

When installing NI-DAQ 7.x you have the choice of installing either traditional daq or daqmx or both. Which of them has been installed on your system? From what you say it seems that while installing NI-DAQ daqmx installation was skipped. Also, you'll have to enable the corresponding option in the Option >> Library list.

Thanks for that I have discoverd the disk I was sent only has traditional DAQ on it. However I am able to use this instead to do what I need.
