Hello NI,
I just found out that the online help, e.g. the one found here, is not identical with the help shipped with CVI: The latter includes the hint that the event is obsolete and should not be used. (Both the online help and the help file on my computer refer to CVI2010).
Also, if I would like to comment / submit feedback on a certain help topic (both online or from my local help), I would prefer the possibility of sending an email to NI - right now, one is linked to the product suggestion center

Hi Wolfgang,
thanks a lot for your message. I filed a Corrective Action Request on this.
the best way to provide feedback directly to R & D is via ni.com/ideas, but if you want to, you can also send me an Message with the content. If you have a Service Contract, you can also call at your neares branch office and open an SRQ (Service Request).
Have a nice day!
Stefan

It would be best to use ni.com/ideas only for feature suggestions rather than bug reports. The best way to submit documentation feedback is through the Product Suggestion link in the help. This actually does make it to our Technical Writers who make the change. If you wish to submit a bug report, you can email NI using the following link: Request Support

Darren,
the link in the online help is to the home of the product suggestion center, clicking on 'Add Comment' ends up at http://digital.ni.com/applications/psc.nsf/default?OpenForm&temp1=&node= , after choosing CVI it will transfer me to the Idea Exchange which is what you discourage for good reasons.
In the help on my computer the 'Submit feedback on this topic' link is to http://digital.ni.com/applications/psc.nsf/docdetails?OpenForm&node=seminar_US&productline=1627&vers... - this one looks better...
So I would suggest that the Product Suggestion links in the online help should be changed/updated.
