PC communication with FPGA through PCI Express

Hi all,

   I am using Xilinx SPARTAN 3 PCI Express starter Kit and want to communicate with FPGA
   through PCI Express communication. On PC side, i will be using  Labwindows    

  software for sending some data packets to FPGA.

   Can anyone provide some manuals or application note on this?

   Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hi mhs,

Here is a tutorial that goes through programming for a Spartan 3E XUP. The kit you are referring to comes with the Spartan 3 development board. As far as I could find, NI does not make a driver for the Spartan 3. You can try using the driver for the Spartan 3E XUP, but it may not work.

National Instruments' LabVIEW FPGA does not support the Spartan-3 PCI Express Starter Kit (detailed here), only the 500k gate XUP starter kit and the NI Digital Electronic  FPGA Board are supported from LVFPGA.
