Parallel Port with Windows 7

Hi,

I'm trying to use a PCI parallel port on a Windows 7 PC with a CVI program, and I just learned that outp() and inp() don't work for win 7 x64. I read that I may still be able to use the parallel port through VISA. Does anyone have any sample code or advice to going about this? I'm really only using this to send an 8 bit code from one computer to another, so performance isn't all that important.
