RTE directory not found when running evaluation version VCI7.0

all .after i learnt labview ,now iwant to work in LABwindows CVI .i have got the evaluation version 7.0 .when iam running code iam geting error.
when iam opening cvi the following error flagging.
the utility could not open registry entries for the given cvi
after entering into the editor

when iam running code
could not find RTE directory
c:\winNT\system32\cvirte

how to fix this

Hello,

I'm assuming you installed CVI with administrator privileges and you are trying to use it for the first time with non-admin privileges. The following KnowledgeBase addresses this issue and states that it is important to have registry-level access rights the first time you use CVI after installing it. Therefore, I would suggest logging in as an administrator and running CVI, so the correct keys can be initially written to the registry.

when this problem came then i searched the cvirte directory which must present in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\cvirte .so i copied from the other system and pasted in the system directory. now its working fine.
I am presently using Labview7.1 full version and daqmx 7.3 drivers. no if i install labwindows CVI in the same national instruments directory is there any conflict will come.?
are drivers are compatible to CVI and labview 7.1???

Hello,

You shouldn't have any problems installing CVI, LabVIEW and DAQ in the National Instruments folder. In fact, this is the default install path.
Also, you will be able to use DAQmx in CVI 7.1 with no problem (as long as your board supports DAQmx, of course). Also, there is a built-in DAQmx library in CVIthat give you easy access to the DAQmx function panels.
