Matt:

No, there is a problem with the 'Mark for Update' mode as well, see my report.

Hello, Martin.

I'm sorry that we haven't received a response on this yet. I've been out of the office for a couple of weeks, and only now did I have the chance to catch up with the forum and investigate this problem.

Basically, it looks like NI screwed up badly on this. To be more specific, it was I who screwed up. When I fixed the original problem that was reported at the top of this thead, it looks as if I misdiagnosed the problem and made an incorrect fix as a result. That fix tested okay as far as the original problem was concerned and also in some other tests, and was therefore included in the 8.1.1 release, but a scenario like you describe was not tested.

Given that you've now gone through two instances of running into this problem, I'm more than willing to send you a patch to 8.1.1, in case that will be of help to you. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi LuisG !

Yesterday I came around the same problem as decribed in this thread. In my application the problem is exactly as described by George and Martin. Would it be possible to provide me also with a quick fix ? Or are there any news about the release date of the next patch for the CVI runtime ?

Greetings,

   Tom

Hello Tom,

I can't really discuss expected release dates publicly, but if you give your permission, I can get your email address from the NI web team, and I can then discuss this issue with you privately.

Let me know if you're okay with that.

Hello Luis,

I found a way to get along without a patch (distribute my applications with runtime 8.0.1) .
So it isn't this urgent.

Thanks,
