So what benefits does LabVIEW CVI give you?

Hi jmpugh,

Its hard to definatively say what the 'benefits' are unless there is something we are comparing to. CVI compared to ANSI C gives you enormous benefits especially in its ability to all you to create meaningful user interfaces in a matter of minutes. In addition, CVI has numerous tools for internet connectivity, data acquisition, instrument control and many other time-saving features.

For the CVI product page, see here. An overview of CVI is located here. The interactive demo is here. And the evaluation download is here.

Jon,

My guess (and it is a guess -- based on another post of his) is that he was mistaking labWindows for labview; therefore, he was wonderring what "Labview CVI" offerrs that "plain" labview doesn't.

Based on the fact that he editted out his comments on this thread, I think this thread can be closed and deleted.

Actually that other thread ended up getting double posted (hence the creation of this thread) and since I didn't have a way of deleting it, I decided to at least post the question I had on my mind at the time although I do realize some time spend with Google could answer it.
