Is in cvi any function to detect how many Com ports I have instaled on PC ?

How I can look in to the Win Device Manager ?

See the function help for viFindRsrc.

To be able to fill all parameters correctly you need to call viOpenDefaultRM first, pass its output to the function above.

The help text provided is pretty descriptive, you 'll find your way through easily.

ebalci, I will study iv, for now there are to much unknown variables, poor examples etc.

q: how to realise sliding text in string control ?  there is an example in marque.prj but .. diff. approach can be welcome.

behaviour explain:

-2 real com port,

-run app. at the first time,

-init first com port,

-init second com port     AND    watch window appears  ... application stops  why why ??

At the second run, ports init goes smoothly .. what I missed ?
