USB distribution kits

I am creating a distribution kit, Do I have to install an entire DAQmx 400mbyte application on my target to get the USB drivers installed for my USB 6501.  I am only talking about 24 bits to turn on/off, seems overkill.

Hello,

This question should really be asked on the DAQ forum.  CVI will currently build you a distribution that will include the necessary files for the application to run on the target machine.  What it does not include is the drivers to make the USB DAQ work on your computer.

If your machine can find and list the device correctly in device manager then it should work, but typically if you install new hardware you also need to install a driver so Windows knows how to talk to the new device.
