Unable to Open UIR... ActiveX error -134

Hi, after several weeks of successfully using an ActiveX control in CVI to interface with 3rd party robot controller software I am plagued by a problem. After changing the size of the main panel in my project, the panel on which the ActiveX control resides, and attempting to run my project I receive a popup error that says "Unable to open uir file. Error -134. ActiveX Error".

When I attempt to open the .uir file from the project window, the .uir file does not open and I receive the same error as in quotes above. I am completely unable to open the .uir file at this point.

The first time this happened I restored the .uir file from a backup copy and everything was good. The second time this happened, restoring from the same b
ackup copy did not work, same message as in quotes again.

Any suggestions? Further information needed? Thanks.

Hello

Do you only have one version of CVI on your system? Sometimes a problem like this occurs if you try to open UIR created with a newer version of CVI with an older one. What version of CVI are you using?

I can try using opening the UIR on my machine if you can send me the UIR and the activex control. If you are not comfortable with posting the files in public, you can email them in at support@ni.com , with my name in the subject.

I've currently the same problems with any of the ActiveX controls I put in mys UIRs, even with the Internet Explorer ActiveX.

I suspect a relationship with the recent security updates of Windows XP. Everything was working fine, but from one day to another, the problem occured.
