Use Socket with Portnumber

Hello

I get a program from an programierer which comunicate over Socket with the port 123456.

I try it with the function DS_OpenEx and DS_Open but did't have success.

Can me help somebody because i have some problems with the fundameltal use of sockets.

It is not clear to me if you are asking about a Winsock API port for TCP or UDP or if you are asking about a Datasocket port.  This link talks about access on another computer, but where the receiving port is located is not important.
