Using NI Example Finder...

Mostly feedback...

1 -
Using NI Example Finder, it seems it is not able to detect my hardware
I have a PCI MIO 16E1 but the borad does not appears in the Hardware field
(bottom left of the window)
I know the board is correctly installed since I use it with a very DAQmx
sample I wrote.

It seems the description of the sample code named :
ContAcq-IntClk-AnlgStart.prj is not correct
Indeed it says : "I. Description: This example demonstrates how to acquire
a finite amount of data using the DAQ device's internal clock, started by an
analog edge condition."
While in fact the code is really acquiring continuously the data.I ran it
with my MIO 16E1
For what I understand the description is a copy paste of the sample code
named : Acq-IntClk-AnlgStar
t.prj
Please make sure to modify the description.

3 -
Always on the NI Example Finder, clicking on the "Visit NI Developper Zone"
button
I reach the page : http://zone.ni.com/zone/jsp/zone.jsp
Clicking on the "Development Lib" link and then on the "LabWindows/CVI" link
I reach the page
http://zone.ni.com/devzone/devzone.nsf/webcategories/A77C886190B47FD286256785006D6CA9?opendocument&node=DZ52109_US
where in fact I cannot see any information about the use of DAQmx with CVI
Is there any plan to add such section ?
Where can I find expalination about DAQmx and CVI ?

Please let me know

Philippe,

Here are just some ideas on your comments:

1.- The example finder uses a custom control to show the options on the list box and uses the DAQmx driver to look for those devices. You can try refreshing the view in MAX or even reinstalling the driver, but I think will be much easier just to use the add option in that pulldown menu and add your hardware.

2.-Those comments are definatelly not updated for that example, even the step by step description is not cosistent with what the example does. I've filed a request to get that fixed.

3.- These links are associated with a code, the actual peage that you get directed to is dynamic. This is constantly being updated and changing. I'll send the suegstion for a good support page for CVI and DAQmx.

Th
anks for the feedback!
