V8.01 with excel instrument drivers

I recently upgraded to V8.01 and now my excell2000 and excel report functions will not work. They keep saying the handle is invalid.

The Main Problem is that CVI will not open an excel document, thats when an error details invalid handle.

Not that this is an answer to your question, but I had a few excel bugs that I had to work around as well (though I didn't have an issues opening the file).  The issue, for me anyway, was that the Excel instruments were written for excel2000 and probably win2k, and I have office 2003 and XP.  Have you tried using the actual activeX calls rather than the excel2000 instrument?

Have you tried generating a new version of the ActiveX server for Excel?

It's worth a try.
