VISA ERROR:1073807195 CVI can´t control 82350A GPIB card

Hello,

 

I have a problem with an agilent 82350A PCI/GPIB card,

 

CVI is reporting ERROR 1073807195 "The interface type is valid, but the specified interface number is not configured".

 

I´ve checked that NI-VISA is primary VISA library (C:\windows\system32\visa32.dll --> right click \ properties \ version TAB).

 

I´ve also checed in MAX \ Tools \ NI-VISA \ VISA Options \ Passports --> NiVi488.dll -- NI-VISA Passport for GPIB is checekd.

 

I can see the card runs OK in Device Manager (GPIB INTERFACES --> Agilent Technologies 82350 PCI GPIB) and in Agilent Connection Expert (GPIB0 --> all instruments GPIB0::13::INSTR ....) where i can check that the target is ok because I can communicate with instruments...

 

I must install Agilent IO Libraries 15.0 (this install the driver for the card agt82350.sys)

 

Under MAX I can´t see the GPIB card.

 

Any help?

Hi,

 

The solution to this problem is that the primary VISA must be of Agilent, not of NI.

 

this fix the problem, CVI doesn´t report any problem (although it is using agilent VISA library...)
