What causes the compile error "File access permission denied"?

When compiling in LabWindows/CVI, I get "File access permission denied" error after relocating files into a Clearcase mounted VOB. No problems with "read-only" attributes on any of the files and directories. None of the files have been added to source control either. They are all view private files as far as Clearcase is concerned.

Hello Bgibson,

First, which version of CVI are you using?

I would check to see if your Source Code Control settings are properly set in CVI so CVI can access these files.

For CVI 7.x, you can access these settings in Tools >> Source Code Control, Options >> Environment >> Source Code Control Options, or Edit >> Project >> Source Code Control.

For previous versions of CVI, check out this document:
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/CBF9A9591B8023D686256896005D9A20?OpenDocument

Also take a look at your CVI users manual:
http://digital.ni.com/manuals.nsf/display?ReadForm&lookup=Software%3E%3ELabWindows/CVI%3E%3EDevelopment%20Systems&view=web_product_currentandold&node=132100_US

It provides you with more information about using CVI with an sourc
e code control package.
