What is compnay name used for then? Where is additional documentation online for the built in installer?

Michael posted ==>>

In the Edit Installer dialog the Publisher field is not used for the program install location. To change the install location you need to update the install directory on the Files tab in the same dialog. In the bottom Folders tree you need to 'Rename' the install folder under Program Files.

Hi Dave,

Are you wanting to find more information about what the Publisher field in the Edit Installer dialog box is used for? There is some good documentation on the Edit Installer Dialog Box - General Tab help page. If that doesn't help, can you clarify a little bit more about what exact documentation you are looking for?

Thanks

The answers to your screenshot questions:

Screenshot 1: The Name field can be changed by right-clicking on the field and selecting Edit Properties. The Target File and Destination Directory fields can be changed in the File tab by changing the name of the directories in the bottom left file browser window. This browser window lets you specify what the file structure looks like on the target system after installation.

Screenshots 2 & 3: All of the fields in question are documented in the CVI help. Click the Help buttom in the bottom right corner of the Edit Installer Dialog to jump directly to the help page that describes them.
