What is the effective difference between CheckErr and viCheckErr?

I can see the differences in the macros in ivi.h, but I'm having a hard time understanding the effective differences, i.e. what the side effects are. Any help would be appreciated.

Hope you had a good weekend!  The best place for information regarding this subject would be the IVI Driver Help.  In the help, under the contents tab, expand the IVI Library Help and click the "Error Macros for IVI" entry.  In this entry, it details each macro and details some use cases.  I hope this helps!
