Why do I get a register error while installing distribution kit .exe?

When I run setup.exe from a distribution kit built in LabWindows/CVI 6.0 with DataSocket support set to "Always", I get "Error 1904. Module C:\WINNT\System32\nids.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024770."

I considered using the "debug distribution kit" solution, but that is for an earlier version. What can I do to resolve this problem. I need to have DataSocket functionality.

A few more questions that might help troubleshoot:

- What operating system are you installing on?
- Does it only happen on one particular machine, or more than one
- After the installation, is C:\WINNT\System32\nids.dll present on the system?
- If so, what message to you get if you run the following command: "regsvr32.exe C:\WINNT\System32\nids.dll"

Thank you so much for your questions! I updated my version of Internet Explorer to 6.0, just out of curiosity, and was able to install and run my application properly.
