If you would like, we can create a request to the R&D group. For now, you can save the jpg file as a bmp file, and use it in CVI.

CVI already supports JPG (and PNG too). You can download the free FP's at
http://www.gdargaud.net/Hack/LabWindows.html

Please note that this freeware comes from a third party, not from National Instruments.

I guess it make sens to provide support in CVI and MStudio for png and jpeg
file format
For what I know there is some issue (royalties) with gif format but since NI
already pay the fee for LV (which supports gif files) there is no reason why
it could not be done for CVI as well.
Finally I'm not sure if a brand new jpeg 2000 file format is not already
available.
