I have two systems both with dual cDAQ ethernet racks. The first has two cDAQ-9188 racks and the second two cDAQ-9189 ethertnet racks.
The cDAQ-9188 configuration has been running with a Win 7 PC since 2012 with no issues. Recently the PC was updated to Windows 10 and NI-MAX updated to version 18.5.0. Since then when opening NI-MAX and trying to connect / reset to the racks NI-MAX will drop out / disappear with no warning sometimes but not always with the exception message below - from MAX summary.log.
After several re-starts of NI-MAX I am able to reset / configure the racks but it is a little worrying!
Process: NIMax.exe
OS: Windows 10 Professional (10.00.18363)
2020-11-24 09:19:31.046 Caught exception!
Minidump filename: 0dd5bc41-b6c1-4a14-8f38-62f200521089.dmp
Exception context: Function=CmxExecutionThreadPool::DoWorkNonUI Plugin=niRMui:UpdateNetworkDeviceState
More recently I have configured a cDAQ-9189 dual rack system and see the same issue.
Waht does the exception message mean?
Thanks in advance!
