error on upgrade to LabWindows 9.0

hello,

I have some problems with the recent instalation of Labwindows 9.0.

I have an application built with 8.5 version that was running fine before I installed LabWindows 9.0. Now the application doesn't work anymore.
I took the source code that was used to build this application and run with labwindows 9.0. the error I've got is: "FATAL RUN_TIME ERROR; UNknown source position thread id: 00000348 . the program has caused a general protection fault at 001B:6855E 9E4"

I looked in ni website at : LabWindows/CVI 9.0 Bug Fix Information and I see something related with general protection fault which might be similar with the error I've got.

"113568         A general protection fault can occur when modal panels are created in a secondary thread"

Could someone give me some insights into this? I thought Labwindows would  be backward compatible.

Are you able to run your application without hardware (in simulation mode), and if so, would you be willing to send us your application so that we could try to reproduce the crash? This sounds like it could be a bug in CVI 9.0, but to find out more, I'll probably need to be able to reproduce the problem here.

HI Luis,

THe application can be run without the instrumentation. However the size of the application with all the libraries and files used is 45Mb. I also need to check with the company if it is ok to send the application without having an NDA as this application is used for manufacturing. IF you can tell me if there is a way to send this huge application to you I would go ahead and check with the company on the legality of of sharing this app.

thanks for your note.

Hi pia,

The size is not a problem. If you can, zip up the project into a single file and then submit it to our ftp site.

Let me know if and when you do, so that I can go look for it.
