how to receive the data from other hardware?

Hi all,

Is there anyone knows how to receive the data from a connected hardware(Terason Altrasound), The only thing I can make sure that is the data from port is not a standard picture formate, it also have some other information coming with the picture. But the first I think i have to make the labwindows connected with the hardware and start to receive the data from it. I will be very glad if anyone can help me.

Hello mutuo000,

Are you connecting to this instrument through a Serial Port?  Are you calling commands from a third party driver to communicate with the instrument or are you simply writing to and reading from the port?  There are examples for how to use NI-VISA to talk to different interfaces on your computer.

Hope this helps, for any more information we will need some more details about how you are trying to connect to the instrument and what kind of data you are expecting.
