I just installed 9.0.1 on two seperate computers (one is win2k and the other is XP) and each one gave the same error when selecting icon editor from the tools menu:
Error loading panel from uir file.
Error code = -14.
Value is invalid or out of range.
I then hit OK and the icon editor never appears.
Is anybody else having this problem?

Hello Stocklone -
Thanks for reporting this, I double checked on my machine and saw the same error you did. There appears to be an issue with the icon editor that shipped with CVI. Fortunately the solution is an easy one. Within CVI, open the iconedit project located at c:\documents and settings\all users\documents\national instruments\cvi90\samples\apps\iconedit , make sure the configuration is set to release, and rebuild the project. Once complete, you should be able to use the icon editor from the tools menu with no problem.
Let me know if this does not take care of it for you

I'm running CVI 8.0.1. When I save the icon generated using the icon editor, the small icon disappears when looking at the file in Windows Explorer, on the task callout on the taskbar at the bottom.
Any idea how to get the little icon back?

Nevermind, got it.
You have to create both 32x32 and 16x16 images for all types to show.
The smaller icon is not automatically converted and stored in the .ico file.
