Did you mean:

immovable window in LabWindows CVI

I have this little window on my desktop whenever I run CVI (I'm using 8.5.1),

closing this window closes CVI,

the window is not movable.

Not a big deal, just unnecessary clutter.

Hey Ken,

I know you said you couldn't move the window, but can you resize it? It would be nice to see the title bar. Hopefully that will point us in the right direction. Also, if you cannot resize the window, could you post a small example that demonstrates the behavior? Thanks!

Acutally, that window is expected, but is usually hidden offscreen. See this thread for a detailed discussion.

It would not resize.

I am testing with one of the samples, and I get this panel:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\CVI\samples\nican\Frame API\Transmit Receive same Port

and I running this in debug mode.

Thanks

Wow. Crazy, but I made the change;

disabling "Prevent windows from opening off-screen" and the box is gone (per the referenced thread).

But, the reason I enabled that was due to undocking my laptop (which has dual screens when docked) and having windows open on the now missing screen. There seems no way to then move those to the active screen, so I NEED to have this enabled.
