invalid menu shortcut key

LabWindows 6:

When I try to assign a shortcut key to a menu item, the only accepted options are ctrl-a or crtl-shift-a, but not shift-a (you can read every character for a). Shift-a can be selected in the menu editor, but when I click on "done" I get the message "invalid shortcut key". Is there a reason for this?

Mr. Timmerman,

This is because the keyboard allready reserved this combination for a capital a (A).
