link errors: multiply defined symbol 'xx' in *.c and *.nidobj

Hello,

I am aware that the topic of multiply defined symbols has been posted already a few times - but reading those posts didn't help me 😞

Using the new CVI2009 I recompiled a project and got lots of those link errors; interestingly, the erros claims that the symbol is multiply defined in my source file and in the corresponding .nidobj file.

The project is in debug mode and in the build options, I have unchecked the precompiled include file.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang,

i am not sure but it could be a bug. Maybe it would helpful if you give the hole error code.

and maybe you can give more detailed information about the drivers and librarys you are using in your programm.

Thanks in advance. Marcus

Hello Marcus,

Thank you for addressing the topic. Unfortunately, I am having problems to reproduce my observation: I have tried changing various build options as I did last week but now everything works properly. Possibly it is related to the upgrade from CVI 9.01 to CVI 2009 ? But because I have uninstalled the previous version I can not verify this suspicion.

Hello Wolfgang,

i do not really know if it has something to do with the upgrade. Its always possible that there are differences between the versions that could cause problems like this. But fine that it work now.

Regards, Marcus
